Last week, following an excellent speech by Cllr Stephen Haraldsen, a small group of Copeland councillors decided that they were minded to refuse the Weddicar Wind Farm application despite the planning officer's recommendation for approval. Before we break out the champagne, however, I understand that the application now has to go before a full council meeting before Copeland's final decision is reached.
The application is to be reconsidered again at this months meeting where a final decision will be reached.
